The Interact Club of B.D.M.International organized an art and craft workshop cum exhibition ‘Wings of Colours’ on 19th December, 2024 at the Gemstone Building.
50 children from an NGO ‘Protyoy Welfare Society’ joined this workshop organized by the Art Department of the school in coordination with the Interact Club as a part of the community outreach programme. The workshop aimed at skill development of the attendees and added colours to their wings of imagination.
This session was followed by an exhibition-cum-sale of their handmade products like beautiful wall hangings with the paper motif of Santa Claus, paper bags, paper cutouts of animal figures, eye-catching posters on wooden blocks etc. as part of the fund raising activity of the Interact Club. The amount collected through this exhibition was donated to ‘Protyoy Welfare Society.’
Ms. Shagufta Hanaphie, the renowned Social Activist, Entrepreneur and Influencer had her motivating presence to grace the exhibition. Principal Ms.Madhumita Sengupta congratulated the children for their enthusiastic participation. They received Christmas cakes and a hanging Snowman as tokens of love and appreciation. The Treasurer of the Interact Club, Swapnila Bhowmik said, “This workshop-cum- exhibition was truly a befitting prelude to Christmas. All of us thoroughly enjoyed this hand holding activity.”
