'Indradhanush' a unique and noble initiative

“For it is in the giving that we receive”- St. Francis of Assisi
B.D.M. International hosted the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards 2024 on 9th March with much gusto and fervor. This programme was organized in association with the Rotary Club of Calcutta Chowrenghee, District 3291.
The Interact Club of B.D.M. International took this initiative to present ‘Indradhanush’ engaging more than 110 students from five Non-Governmental Organizations. The students from Pratyay Welfare Society Garia, Ananda Mandir Uttar Kolkata, Nandito Sukhpakhi, Institute of Social Work Khidderpore and Samaritan Help Mission enthusiastically took part in dance, song and art competitions. Fun and recreational games were arranged at the end of the programme to keep the participants actively engaged. The spirit of RYLA was nicely celebrated through fun, food & fiesta. These diverse activities truly brought out the myriad hues of ‘indradhanush’ and provided these participants with a platform to showcase their talents and creativity.
Shri Hira Lal Yadav Hon’ble Dist. Gov. 3291 and other esteemed Rotarians graced the occasion and motivated the participants through their luminary presence.
The Interact Club representatives of Indus Valley World School and Sri Sri Academy joined the event as the audience and definitely boosted the morale of the participants.
Mr. Bobby Chakraborty- a famous actor and social activist was the key note speaker. He addressed the potential young minds of our larger community and inspired them, through an interactive session ‘I am the Master of my Mind’, to abstain from all kinds of addiction.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony, at the end, brought broad smiles on the happy countenances of the participants.
B.D.M. International believes in inclusivity in education and RYLA 2024 was undeniably a great initiative to cater to the interest of the larger community and thereby fulfilling the true purpose of education.
